Muhammad Usman Rafiq
Senior Accountant
Usman manages the UK-side transition for Route Business Hub's relocating clients: corporation tax, VAT deregistration, payroll wind-down, and the ongoing UK compliance directors need while their Dubai structure goes live.
5 years supporting UK business directors through their move to Dubai: UK corporation tax, VAT and payroll wind-down, and the compliance work a relocation needs on the UK side.
Every client works with one named advisor throughout their engagement, not a rotating queue of junior staff.
A UK-to-Dubai relocation doesn't end a UK company's compliance obligations the day a UAE licence is issued: final corporation tax periods, VAT deregistration or continuing returns, and payroll wind-down all still have to be done properly, on their own deadlines. Usman's day-to-day work is making sure that UK-side wind-down runs cleanly alongside the UAE setup, so a director's Dubai move doesn't leave loose ends back in the UK.
Usman holds a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accountancy from Oxford Brookes University. His background spans UK, Pakistan, Oman and UAE accounting practice, including bookkeeping and year-end filings for over 40 Canadian SME clients at Accountroots in Lahore, and a role as Assistant Financial Controller at HMR Consultants in Muscat, Oman, before focusing on UK-to-Dubai relocation compliance at Route Business Hub.
